Das Endlosbauprinzip (The Continuous Building Principle) is an exhibition project that can be experienced in passing, on foot or by car, a design study by and for Rheda-Wiedenbrück – and an exemplary architecture and design analysis of a German town. The project title chosen by Nico Joana Weber is also a result of her research: in 1963, Walter Müller developed for interlübke the forefather of all industrially produced modular cabinet systems built on the endless construction principle, the ‘interlübke 61’. The term ‘Endlosbauprinzip’ appears in the company catalogues of the time. Weber uses this typically German coinage to name her art project, at the same time referring to the never-ending process of structural, social and cultural change in a town like Rheda-Wiedenbrück.

Until July 2022, Nico Joana Weber showed 36 works on large billboards and construction-site fence banners at busy locations in Rheda and Wiedenbrück. She had spent a great deal of time in the archives of the town as well as those of COR, interlübke and Musterring. In her poster series, she combined this material with her own photographs to create digital collages. The resulting works showed montages of architectural and urban views, furniture and interior designs from the last 70 years.
