In RUM WIE NUM, Ferdinand Kriwet brings together poems, prose and plays. Most of the material comes from early texts he wrote between the ages of 14 and 17 while at boarding school in Bad Sachsa and Heidelberg – further lines are taken from the Nachtblätter (night sheets) written in Dresden in 2012, and a few additional words were added in Bremen in 2018.
With this last book, Kriwet closes the circle of his legendary artists’ books: from Rotor, published in 1961, to his most recent autobiography SURIUM, RUM WIE NUM connects publications created over five decades.
